Popped in with a few of my partners in crime on Friday afternoon (6/09/13) to see what else Bedfordview has to offer.

Its a very discrete and private venue situated in a cul de sac. Full marks for that one. Parking may be a bit of a problem once the hordes start arriving, but was adequate when I arrived.
Its a very nice place - quite an impressive facade, and the reception is tasteful, albeit a bit sparse, but minimalist is also good. Even though they are in the throes of some renovations, it was not disturbing to the patrons. I look forward to seeing the place when its done.
Nice bar, good for conversation. Selection a bit limited, but I'm sure that will be attended to. Pricing is very fair. The hostess was friendly and gracious and conversation with her was easy. Unfortunately, female companionship around the bar was non existent and we had to "seek" the ladies out. That was well below my expectation and should be attended to. There was a also a lack of some soft and tasteful background music.
The venue is clean and neat, which I am anal about, so this scores high on my list.
A dumb valet in the rooms would also be a welcome addition. I get quite irritated when I have nowhere to hang my clothing - a tie back drilled into the wall saved the day (barely).
Bathroom and shower facilities are good, and the two on suites are great.(Not that I had the opportunity to use either - but thats no real big deal)
Even though below my expectations, I had a pleasant afternoon and I will return. Kickass and I have identified it as a potentially regular Friday afternoon "chill out" venue and if the owners up their game a tad, this has the makings of a prime punting spot.

Check profiles under Bedfordview - those with the link to their website. Off the top of my head, Aurora, Lesley, Angel, Mercedes, Belle Tojours plus a few more.
R700 per half hour, R900 full hour. There are a couple of independents that charge their own rate. There is talk of a cover charge, although it seems to apply to planned events and would then include stuff like snacks etc.
