Condoms are not stupid things, they may break occasionally, but not intentionally or on their own. It does take a fair amount of human intervention. Or sometimes our local telekoms service provider who hands them out stapled to a pamphlet for a reduced efficiency.
As for the dental dams, A condom could easily be made into one. A quick internet search, then click on images would show you images of them. Basically just a rubberised loslappie.
