Exactly the same happened to me last year when I left a guest house in Croydon I was followed and arrested. I told them I just went for a massage which is not illegal they said they don't believe me. After further discussions in the end I had to pay them to leave me, it seems to be a modus operandi of some SAPS

Pay for what? That is the only illegal thing you have done as far as i am concerned. If they did not caught you in the act of handing over money (for sex), they have fuckall on you. They can even catch you with your penis in her vagina, and they still have nothing! They need to prove you paid for putting your penis in her vagina. Otherwise, it is just two adults having fun!

Interested to know if you got the job for the electrical and aircons.
Think I'll bank that as a reason if ever stopped. After all it does take about an hour to get all the details for a genuine quote
