Companionship...realised.

"Should I get u dinner?"

"Only if u eating with me." She responded

It was a visit to his home. A man she had had the pleasure of on a few occasions. A man going thru a personal crisis trying to find the answers, owning up to his part in a failed relationship and trying not to excuse his ex's mistake to a point making her the victim....simply because he missed her so much and wanted her back.

Sitting at the dinner table, prepared for him and her, she watched him.

He was that sort that wanted to please, look after...care.
She had told him, on previous occasions, it was neither him or his ex but, maybe as simple as,some people were meant to be while others were not.

That thing of living up to and matching societal expectation and forgetting to live one's life for oneself.

Being defined by the "wrappings" of materialistic good living at the expense of home and family.

Some knew not to get caught in the rat race of capitalism while others floundered.

Nothing wrong in achieving. Nothing wrong in having.

In their case they got caught up in the frills of spills of achievement.

Money became the goal....a tug of war between affection and monetary networth.

What she loved about his company was his raw hunger to please and be pleased. His raw hunger to satisfy. His raw hunger to be a ....LOVER.

Appreciated.
Acknowledged.
Adored.....loved.

She fed his hunger and...he fed hers.

The evening was one of total surrender to self realization of what made each tick behind bedroom doors.

Not only did they have dinner together but, she walked away with 5 different fine little gateauxs he had bought for her.

He had remembered she liked the finer things in life....how could she not like the person behind the man.

He would come right. She knew it....time would do its thing.

He was a good man....he was a good person.

RB.
