I was wondering how I could go about getting a punting sim in Cape Town. Where would I have to look to get one?
Also, what sort of phone would be best to use as a punting phone?
I'd appreciate any advice!

Pakistan shops should have it,I don't know why some guys can't find it in their areas.i have had few guys asking me to buy for them and send it to them,I have orders to PE and Marget hehehehe

Most shopping centres have a cellphone shop with a paki behind the counter. Just go in and ask for a SIM. They are all over.

Defeats the purpose bud. Punting SIM is already RICA'd so it is not traced back to your name.
