It seems like nobody heard me, so I will repeat, "let's not victimise the victim"
The OP's account is 3 days old. Chances are that when contacting the said SP he did not have an account (and only stumbled on the AD). Hence he would not of seen any reviews, until he probably signed up to leave a comment and alert everyone, to discover his not the first. My guess.
Personally, in the early days, I've punted off ads without an account. I've been lucky not to have had trouble, and I gravitated to Esa due to it, in my view, having the best review system enabling you to minimize risk. But it didn't happen overnight. It was a learning curve. Again, this OP is probably new, with a 3 day old account, so why not embrace him at the point where he is, and encourage him to be more cautious.
Advice to the OP, now that you have an account, before engaging with a service provider:
1. Read the reviews
2. Read the forum (the reviews will tell you about the time punters spent with them, but the forum will give you more insight to the SP as a person).
3. If you interested in a SP, do a forum search on her name to get a more lengthy history, which will give you a better sense of what kind of person she is.
4. Make contact with the lady and read between the lines in her responses. If things don't add up, they don't add up. Don't ignore your gut feeling (something I fail on a lot)
If you want to be really cautious,
5. Get a gold membership if you plan on doing this often (more detailed information and access to other GMs).
6. Buy content as a test transaction. It's a small loss if things don't work out. And also the content will give you a bit more insight into the person.
Now my harsh words to the OP for him to think about his future in this area. If you crying about lost money on a content transaction, then maybe reconsider your endeavors. This may not be for you, as you may encounter even bigger losses, even if you are the most cautious person. Yes you can have a lot of fun. It's almost like going to a casino, you can have a good run, or bad run, but you going to loose money either way and the entertainment may not always be what you were hoping it to be.
Some may say this is an expensive form of entertainment (but that depends on the individuals pocket). A hour or two with an SP may not be very different in price than taking the family out to a an average priced restaurant. And similarly the food and the company may be really enjoyable, or it can be really bad; but at the end you still have to pay the bill. In the same vain, you not always going to get what you expect, and you will feel like you've wasted money and other times you will just be 'wowed' (and you wont even think of the money spent). I can honestly say that some of my best experiences have been time spent with sex workers. But it is also what you make of it.
