Manners maketh a man. Its all about respect for the other person. When you greet someone its is noted that "I see the goodness in you". Namaste

For the most part it seems even please and thank you have fallen by the wayside in our daily interactions...
What sad state of affairs to be honest where what should be common courtesy is lost.

I think I read it in one of Max Beerbohm's essays.
