I also dont answer unknown calls. Why do you wanna make a booking if i cant phone you back to confirm a time? Do they really want the booking or not? I dont like taking calls like that.

Consider that some guys may be phoning from work and simply cannot take calls of such nature some 40 minutes later as the window of opportunity to phone without somebody overhearing has passed. As such no number to call back - no embarrassment. I am not defending the hidden number caller, all I am saying that there may be a reason for this.
Anyway, while on this topic, I have sens sms requests to various girls and hardly received any answer even though stating that it is inconvenient (if not impossible) to phone. Just another thought.
