BannedChod yours

...is like reading The Canterbury tales by Chaucer, written in Middle English when I was at varsity.

The more I read it, the more I understood.

Grin.

But, pray tell why? Although I have to admit, I do read your postings and love the tongue in cheek.

I think it is safe to say that there are a lot of medical conditions that are not yet properly understood, controllable or curable.

It is exceptionally difficult for those who suffer from those complaints to accept and then adapt to a new rourine and lifestyle.

It is equally difficult for those close to that person to accept, understand and support the sufferer. And to see the person you care about or love fade away before your eyes.

All that can be done is to offer support (if you are able to on an ongoing basis).

Some support needs to be emotional. Other financial. Or
meaningful advice.

Well said.

The emotional toll a loved one or a close friend endure is so misunderstood and underestimated. It's devastating to watch someone you love and care for spiral out of control as well as watching their suffering. Whilst all you can do around them is to remain strong for their sake.
