Perhaps "lol" is the preterpluperfect tense of "he had had a good laugh".
It is used randomly on this forum, a perfect example of smart ass fashion modern nomenclature in its dying agonies.

I tend to use it often to exaggerate my demeanor as tongue in cheek, cheeky, humorous or light hearted as my posts can apparently seem aggressive as I mentioned in a previous thread.
If my post does not contain 'Lol', it usually, (but not always) means I'm being serious or candid.

For the 2 and more years that I had been in this industry, I have never asked for my money upfront. That said, no one ever cheated me either. I did get my money (for the nosy Parkers)
I did say on the forum that I was rather hasty in my posting. Just needed to set the record straight.
