There is no "red light" district like in Amsterdam, but the are a lot of places to visit in central London. Have not been there for 5/6 years, but if you are walking around and see a hot lady sitting outside offering you a good time or a strip show, don't go down the stairs. It's a well known shakedown. The actual strip clubs I have been to offer just that, strip only.

I used to use adultwork, and was never disappointed.

Also got caught out by the super hot chick inviting me down the stairs. Get inside and I am the only guy there (the place is empty) and some ugly WG comes and chats to me for 5 minutes. She then goes away and comes back with a bill for R5k (this was about 10 years ago) - I asked her what it was for and she said it was for companionship. No chance I was going to pay R5k for chatting to an ugly WG - had to fight some Lebanese guy out of there!!!

When I go punting, I only take the cash with me that I am going to spend and not my wallet, but luckily when the bouncer appeared, I was taller than him so managed to push past him and up the stairs. I only had 50 quid on me so it would not have been a big loss, still an experience I would not want to repeat.

I think they have cleaned up most of those dodgy places, but you never know.
