OK. Its blatanlty clear to me how these scammers sound. This guy was def not from Vodacom, I have been around too long and know the talk and accents of most. This guy from the set go iheard was in the scammer business working for his boss. Vodacom emploees to not come on a 67 number so i knew straight away who he was. i kept him on the line for some time and he was very insistent that i dial a star 130 star then 888 hash number then he asked if i had written it down cos i have to enter that so as to get a 5g bonus from vodacom. SO HUNNY DONT ASK ME STUPID QUESTION ON HOW I KNOW. I FUCKING KNOW. i called vodacom spoke to supervisor, and he said under no circumstances dial that number as it is fraudulant. If you care to listen to the arsehole that calls and offers 5g and dial the number above i gave then bye bye bank money possibly and data and airtime and god knows what else. this is a new SCAM, I WARNED YOU

Hey Sylvia.

Mine was....

The floor supervisor of vodacom called me. Imagine how important I am that the floor manager called me to tell me I am 1 of 5 lucky people drawn out of millions and millions and MILLIONS of vodacom numbers for the BLA BLA BLA prize for the month of December for this week...

I listened and then told him.

" I know all vodacom calls are taped, so please play this one back.
Listen carefully....

You extortionist scamming criminal. Pls note, I AM TAPING OUR CONVERSATION as proof of vodacom employees scamming their clients."

Phone put down

That number no longer active.

Yep. New scam on the go. But mine had nothing to do with dialing 888. Maybe because I didn't give him opportunity to get to that point.

As Sylvia said....be diligent guys.

RB.

Don't be too harsh on those that get caught.

Many people have not been exposed to criminality and scamming in ways others have.

Many new punters on the block that don't read the forum.

I have to admit...I have been at the end of a scam once in my life and I could not believe I bought into it at that time.

Embarrassing to admit but, it did happen . After the event I thought to myself, how the fuck did I buy into it and I thought I was very streetwise and no was not in the world of bodily debauchery which I became part of in 2015 only.

So , I get how people might get caught. Call me stupid, call me naive.

iT CAN OF COURSE HAPPEN. I have been on dating sites and the guys on that are classic. Didnt catch me though. I read about ladies getting taken for a ride. FFS how can they give guys money how. I really have no sympathy. They think by giving them money for a plane ticket etc they gnna have that guy for ever. STUPID STUPID AND YES THEY GOTTA BE LONLEY AND PRETTY DESPERADO. sorry RB i cannot feel sorry for guys who are scammed. Cops dont call and ask for money, surely thats a red flag on its own. They must have heard the word
scam? surely. The cleverest of people do get scammed...fact. It takes the click of a button in these times. just one click and thousands gone if ones bank account. scary.

You know when somebody indulges in an illegal activity like paying a prostitute for sex...and u live in SA where the cops are bigger scarier
Criminals than many of those hardcore criminals.
One reads about it all the time.

This is SA where even a murder file can disappears if the right price is paid.

Where a business deal sounds so legit, that was mine, all of a sudden never comes to fruition

If anything bribery in the police force a pandemic our new minister of police is trying to address as is our minister of Correctional Services.

Like the cops who stop u for speeding and R50 gets u off the hook.

Thus....anything in SA is, possible.

Addendum....

How's about the cops that look after whorehouses because they good buddies with the owner /s....of course it ain't for free .

And turning a blind eye to the kingpin druglords and taking out the competition ..also ain't for free.

Next time u read about an indiscriminate shooting in kzn or eastern cape don't believe the bullshit that there was no motive.

Warning fatal shots fired.

It ain't the crime they want YOU to believe it is .

Hence I asked you (respectfully) to enlighten us as to how they SOUND... I didn't ask you (stupidly) how you know. Anyway, it is what it is. Thanks. Goodbye.
