Indians are taught from a young age, not to make a purchase without first asking for a discount. It's ingrained in our culture. :-)

I disagree with this statement, it is stereotypical, untrue and not an attractive trait to be associated with. Both my North Indian and
South Indian grandparents and parents instilled in us to treat people fairly and pay them their
worth and what is due to them.
I cannot recall ever encountering an instance where an Indian origin family member, friend, work
colleague, business associate has
negotiated for discounts while out dining or at entertainment and
recreational venues.
Not even at the Oriental Plaza or
any outlet in Fordsburg will I
attempt to get a discount out of the
sales person or waiter. At the restaurants and food outlets I make
sure to leave a very generous tip.
I get deeply disappointed and very
unhappy when I come across such stereotypical, backward statements.
What is the purpose of such a
statement? Are you expecting that
we make allowances and tolerate a behaviour akin to haggling, which breaks down the ladies spirit,
resulting in a lack lustre, mechanical service? Surely we
should evolve and adapt to the culture of whichever part of the
globe we have migrated too?
In South Africa your Rands have
the same value as a person raised in a different culture. We
cannot be expected to cater for
"implied" cultural norms.
Personally I steer clear of people
who use shared culture, ethnicity, religion as a bargaining tool. Also avoid those who are of the mentality since I am paying, I have
purchased and own you. As such I
am entitled to do as I please with you.
I have a set minimum fee of R650 for a 30 minute session. Excludes the time spent on introductory chat, refreshments, and shower. Includes professional, sensual and lingam massage. Foreplay and mutual pleasuring is also included in the price.
If a client does not have at least
R650 to spend on himself, for his own relaxation and pleasure.
It is best that he finds someone
who caters for services within his budget.
Thank the Universe every day that there are punters who truly
understand our plight. Who acknowledge that we also need to earn a decent income to be able to give a good service.
