A lady - who is not currently active - shared this advice when I joined ESA a few months ago and introduced myself on the forum. I've followed this advice very closely and can honestly say that I have not experienced a single bad booking since I began with this journey.
She said:
"If I may advise you on how to get the best out of your service provider.
Always be polite and behave like a gentleman.
When making appointments honor them so you don't end up on ladies shit list.
Maintain good hygiene throughout your session so the lady isn't afraid to touch you or that bad odour doesn't repel her.
Never negotiate the ladies fees.
Never tell another lady so and so does this and that for so much. She will probably tell you to go book so and so who does this and that for so much if she is me that is.
Always remember your wallet or booking fees.
Get a punting phone if not don't let the Mrs find the ladies number or conversation or Pic on your phone. The lady will probably cover for you but it's really not nice for us to deal with screaming banchees who think we want their husband's when it's all about business for us.
Don't be a doos be lekker.
Other than that happy punting and enjoy sampling Some of ESAs finest talent. Do take time time to read through the reviews remember reviews are just a guide line and are specific to individuals experiencing.

I'll indulge in some preaching for you. As others have stated, there's an ineliminable element of luck to it - bad days happen even to the best, and sometimes it might even just be you. If you're starting out, you ought to hedge your bets on the "universally acclaimed" gang :P
It also depends what your definition of "good" is. Hygiene, punctuality, and respect will always go a long way, but personality-compatibility matters more for a GFE like booking, whereas it wouldn't matter as much if all you need to do is stick your dick in a hole.

Oh hun it's only because I was away for a year and a half lol..
I've seen plenty of punters since I've been back the last two weeks but nobody has been kind enough to review me and I DO NOT do fake reviews so come by and maybe you can be the review that lets everyone know that I'm still the BOMB!!

As much as good reviews are no sure-fire guarantee for a good booking, I place a lot of weight on "no return" reviews. Especially if there's at least 2 "no returns" that:
1. Sound reasonably objective e.g. punter doesn't sound like a disgruntled asshole, shares pros and cons, etc.
2. Are fairly recent. After all people can improve.
3. Share similar themes (e.g. clock watcher, mechanical, etc.). If the "no return" is simply due to a lack of chemistry, I'd still take a chance cause not everybody will click sometimes.
4. The SPs response to criticism e.g. beware of the famous "he asked for bareback"
