Dying from emphysema is certainly no fun.
My dad smoked for 40 years, but stopped when my Mom was diagnosed with this terrible disease. She died many years ago and even though he stopped, he has a milder version of emphysema now.

If your mind is not ready, you wont stop....maybe a trip to the local hospital to see the lung cancer patients may help.....

The most consistent manner that I have seen from watching friends quit, is to purchase a vape. You start off at a high nicotine content, and slowly reduce it until it reaches zero.

But make sure you are committed as I've also seen people just replace cigarettes with a vape.
