Yup, that's true. The issue I have with that is that I don't book the receptionist or venue owner. It is also the beginning of connecting (or not) with an SP... a simple pm.

Surely of you advertise on an online platform you have internet access? It is easy to obtain and can lead to more bookings if managed well.

I get that some SPs reply to more than 30 pms a day, and I personally don't expect an immediate reply. But after 5 days, ie 150 messages later that she had to reply to, this excuse doesn't hold water anymore.

Most of us have to use email in our day to day work. It's certainly not in my job spec to answer emails, but I have to since that is the method of communication between interested/involved parties.

Taking 15-30mins, at least, in the morning to quickly check and reply to pms before starting with bookings is not asking that much. Especially if you have the text with services and fees already prepared... copy & paste.

I've heard SPs telling me in person that they are most of the time too lazy to reply to everyone. The other excuse is that not all pms lead to bookings. Well... nothing is a sure bet in any business. You could be missing out on 50% bookings just because you didn't feel like replying. For the price of replying a standard message... now that is a huge "cost"
