Ability to change usernames

Is there any way we could be able to change our Usernames to the extent that it cannot be abused? I personally would like to change mine but do not want to delete my profile to do it...
I know there could be many reasons as to why this is not possible and shouldn't be possible but I just thought I would like to at least have the option at least once per profile.
It may even limit the amount of people who have to delete profiles due to others finding out their username.

If you have a "Change Username" button....yes you can. Otherwise probably not

Unfortunately, you cannot change your username without deleting your profile.
