Racism is a fact of life. All over the world. It will never be erradicated and, to me, it seems to be getting worse.
In my own life I take people on who make racist remarks in my presence. If I see it persists, then I cut ties with them. I will not put my livelihood or my life in danger because of ignorent dumbasses.
