It is indeed great news as the proposal is to legalize the sale and purchase of sex. Cops will not be able to go after either party in future. This is apparently the New Zealand model that we will be adopting.

This has been discussed many times in the past on this forum. From the points that were made, I don't see this ending well.

Not clear yet what is being proposed.
We will know more in a few days time.
In any case, this doesn't mean anything will necessarily be implemented any time soon, if at all.
In my opinion, nothing will change for at least 5 years.
We shall see.

That article is not clear at all.
It mentions that Gauteng delegates had called for that system in July, but it was rejected.
Article is not at all clear whether that system has now been accepted.
Some other reports indicate "full" decriminilisation, others don't mention that.
We will probably know in a few days time.
