Dear Primebeef,

Your membership is activated for your 1 month payment.

If you find the credit card payments are giving you hassle, why not make direct FNB payments using your Username as reference.

Make sure it's direct into FNB as other banks to FNB takes 2 days to show in our account.

I am not sure why you having problems with the credit card payments.

Kind regards,
J

No blame no accusation but a couple hours after paying my membership by cc my card was hacked and compromised. I obviously hope this was a coincidence and that esa site is secure as we all think it is.

Dear Sir

Please note that ESA does not touch credit cards at all. There is a reason why you completely leave the ESA website when you enter your credit card. We don't see your name, we don't see your card number and we don't see your credit card expiry date.

We only see 1 very long reference number that says "6817616505E8903EC8422F38DB5DAF7BC616DA4F27B3963B3F9D577C65C9B7A9 paid R110". We then look at our database and from there we can see that reference number 6817616505E8903EC8422F38DB5DAF7BC616DA4F27B3963B3F9D577C65C9B7A9 belongs to primebeef: give him 1 month Gold Membership.

You are correct when you say credit card transactions should be instant. I also agree with you on that point. Unfortunately every month, about 3 to 4 transactions out of a 1000 are not successful due to a temporary network break (for example, as your computer switches 3GB towers or an temporary international internet line hiccup). This whole process is out of the hands of ESA.

The good news for you is that ESA provides are FAR better service than any big company in South Africa. You may ask any of the 0.3% Gold Members whose credit card transactions were not successful, and they will testify that the ESA's office solved their problem within 3 hours (during business hours). Most credit card queries are solved within 1 hour (and many many members here can confirm that for you). From my personal experience most companies only answer email queries 24 to 48 hours later.

You accuse us of being the source of your credit card being hacked (saying "no blame no accusation" doesn't help if you post it in a public forum). This is a very serious accusation. In the last 12 years we handled in an excess of 100 000+ credit card transactions without any problems (except in one case, which I will explain below). Just this week alone we did 300+ transactions without anyone being hacked.

We did have one visitor who came onto the forum, guns blazing, accusing us of "hacking his credit card" in 2014/2015. We asked him to come to our offices so that we can show him the 100,000+ successful credit card transactions we've handled in the last 12 years. We asked him to bring his laptop. When we inspected the machine we found 3 keyloggers on his PC. He was running a free trail of Antivirus software, and he never updated his software. Every time he would enter first 4 digits of any credit card number (like 4901 - the start of a visa number) into any program, even notepad, the computer would open a connection to an unknown IP address and send an encrypted packet, which we assumed was the fake credit card number we've just entered.

So please provide us with the exact details, please submit all documentation (statements, FNB inContact messages) that shows where your credit card was used.

Also please note that I've found the following Spy software on the market for Blackberry:

spyera.com/blackberry-keylogger/

www.spystealth.com/

If these tools exist on the open market, who knows what type of software the hackers have. If you use the Blackberry Desktop software, please take note of the following "Highly Critical" vulnerabilities in their desktop software.

forums.whatthetech.com/index.php

I'll be waiting for your message describing what exactly happened to your credit card.

Regards

James

Dear James I never accused was merely stating what happened. I also said I hoped it was a coincidence. FNB :) We've noted the following suspicious transactions on your account. R13.36 approved at A Retail Store on 12-06-2017, R13.36 declined at A Retail Store on 12-06-2017 and R6356.31 declined at A Clothing Store on 12-06-2017. Reply Y if you are aware of these and N if not. Ts & Cs and std network rates apply. FNB,a Div of FRB Ltd. I hope dear james this is proof enough of my card being hacked and compromised an hour after my transaction with esa.
