In light of all the issues that have been highlighted since the despicable murder and burning of Karabo, more and more I've thought about what my contribution to this issue is as a South African man.

What's sad is these things didn't start with Karabo, women have been silently suffering at the hands of men and we've even reached a stage in this issue where most of these cases don't even make the news. It's become mere statistics.

It, arguably, may be even more pronounced in this industry. Women are raped and brutalised almost everyday and can't even go to the police for help in most cases.

Am I, as a punter, funding the brutalisation of our women? By continuing to punt, am I just a part of the problem or is the issue bigger than just me?

What can a normal man like myself do to play my part in this issue. It goes without saying that a world without women is not a world worth living in so what is expected of me to protect our women.

Unfortunately the law in our country are against the Women in this industry. There is no protection for them from the scum of the earth. Therefore it is up to us as individuals to stand-up and protect them.

So let us all stand together and respect and protect all women.
