Yes, I was wondering about other venues too. Because I'm not familiar with SA in general, I've always felt more comfortable going to venues vs private houses or apartments. Suppose I'll have to stick with paying stupid taxi fares for the girls to travel, plus the odd 'walk of shame'many JNB hotels make you do when you have guests: "Sir, you have Ms So-and-so at the reception to meet you. You will need to come down to verify you know her."

I don't think this was about venues or ESA or what happens at Venues. It was about who OWNED it.
If Bustynadia owned it, nobody would bat an eyelid. The neighbours didn't complain, SAPS or SARS weren't involved until now. I get the impression someone in the trade had something to do with the report on the reviews. The original report might/might not have been tipped off to the media by one of our own. If they knew about what the reviews said they would've included it on Sunday. That way Mak wouldn't have been able to get away with his massage only explanation. They were tippeed off afterwards about the reviews.
This place will never be able to operate again while Mak's name is attached to the property.
But I don't think other venues will be affected. This was about Mak and not the industry per se.
