My knowledge of local burlesque venues and groups is outdated. Google is your friend, Lol. Even back then, an actual, full time venue was hard to come by. There are/were dance troupes that travel around to various venues around the country, Black Orchid being the most popular, outdone by Madame Zingaras which is more a burlesque themed circus I would say.
I may be wrong regarding the current validity of my info, but a little internet research should steer you in the right direction.

And this is why I hate Cape Town. It ticks almost all the boxes for me, except for that pot of gold. And as much as Jo'burgers (no offence) think they are enlightened, they are centuries behind. That's just my personal view.
