Attention All Punters,
It is very important that you have a punter number not only for the scammer calls that I personally not at all scared of, the main problem is that if you WhatsApp a WG whose number is being blocked and reported by many for any suspicious and fraudulent activities then you messaging that number will prompt WhatsApp to block your number immediately. It's a pain if you use your main number and WhatsApp blocks it. I have a dual sim punter phone and I WhatsApped a WG from both the sims to the same and WhatsApp happily blocked it.

What's app used to block accounts mostly when you send nudes and someone reports your number more than once they automatically block your number it's "guideline violation" . I'm not sure if they still block your numbers or not but haven't had it in a while now .

Wow! We learn new things each day. I did not know this happens with WhatsApp. Thank you for enlightening me.

Agreed Whatsapp may block a number after reports of breach of terms (better to sign in as a business account but not fool proof).

The OP seems to have been suggesting that if you message (or have been messaged by) a blocked number, then somehow your number will magically be blocked.

That is something I have not heard of or indeed experienced (despite having had contact with several blocked numbers). So I think that suggestion (if I am reading the ramblings of the OP correctly) is incorrect and either he was blocked by someone or he was blocked after reports of beach of terms by him.

Yes but also only if your number gets reported by someone more than 3 times.

And if you load whatsapp more than three times on diffrent devices with the same number in one week.

So at the end of the day its your own doing if whatsapp self blocks you.

I know cause it happened to me once. I didnt have a phone and loaded my whatsapp on someone elses phone and deleting it again when i gave back the phone and i did so 3 times before whatsapp blocked me on suspicion of illegal dealings. I only got it unblocked after emailing them and explaining my situation. They infestigated saw the imei number of the phone was the same as well as the ip adress so they unblocked me.

So like i said its your own doing

Ive tried reading through al the fine print on the guidelines but cant find a clear answer when they block. I do know they block if u send out more whatsapp messages than what u recieved. That happened to me. Blocking for sending out nudes, that never happens. Girls blocking numhers. Yes that happens. Whatsapp looks at the messages between the two parties. And becaise its run by that guy with a Z in his surname even one offensive or degrading word wil get u banned.

@Michelle it's a WhatsApp guideline as mentioned in the WhatsApp website. I WhatsApped a WG who must have been blocked by many for her misadventures or whatever. Even though it's a temporary block or I'm not sure as I had submitted a review to lift the ban. After 24 hours or so I was able to add WhatsApp account to my number. However it is unfair on WhatsApp to block my number for me sending a message to a number that is flagged which I as sender is not aware of.
