This is true! I've done a few social experiments in my day and those who claim to want to be a friend/boyfriend typically never last more than a week before showing their true intentions

Those are the wrong type Jody sorry you experienced those type hope you find that person who can be right to you.
Sometimes it's just the companionship and just doing things of mutual interest that are hobbies of both individuals enjoying that person's company,personality except sex thing maybe good food. My late uncle had his wife who used to be a wg I only found out a few years ago. Somehow him and his wife managed to make things work and they seemed to have less drama than most of my other uncles and aunts till they both passed away. She actually made him a better person and he did same for her. They even have two kids together and our two cousins not to bad people.
