I usually get the payment out of the way, on arrival.

When visiting one of my regular ladies, I discreetly place the money on her dressing table while I get dressed afterwards.
When I visit for the 1st time, I pay upfront, and politely ask the lady to check and confirm the agreed amount. That way, we all remain "friends"
