I once paid a cancelation fee because the SP couldn't continue with the booking when I got there.
Refused to let me out unless I paid!!!

I do agree that a cancellation should be paid, if the punter decides to cancell due to
1) looks of the SP
2) Area or Venue
3) not the age as advertised
4) punter intoxicated
5) punter under influence of a substance (including weed)
6) Hygene not to standard
But no fees are due if the SP is
1) intoxicated
2) under the influence of any substance (including weed)
3) hygene not to standard.
4) SP not prepare to continue with session.

My personal opinion is that you owe them what ever you agreed to pay for that session. What you are paying for is there time. If you want to cancel, then you have wasted their time.
That's why I believe it is important to be direct in your communication before you rock up to your booking. I know that many SPs don't like giving their exact location, which is understandable. So I usually ask what type of place are you working from, hotel ,apartment or venue etc. and if they are working alone, all those types of things.Meaning, that by the time you arrive there you have an idea of what your session should be like.
Also SPs having up to date pictures tends to help avoid scenario 1.
