I can't comment on Singapore. Keep in mind it's a 1st world country.

You are in for a treat in Indonesia... 3rd world country, much the same as SA. Few rich people, exploding middle class.

If you are in the mood for company go to any of the 4/5 star hotels in Jakarta. All of them have Bars/Clubs. Its literally as easy as talking to any girl in the club. They are not wg's. So your only expense should be a drink or two.

If you Afr is good you will even pick up the language. In Indo/Malaysia white foreigners are called "Bule". Many 20-something girls are very open to sleeping with "Bule".

Your most important pickup like would be "'want to be naughty with me?". The word for naughty is "nakal". But buy her a drink first. Try to say a few words in Bahasa (Indo/Malay language). It's almost easier than buying bread.

Singapore is quite staid. There's Orchid Plaza on Orchid Road / Boulevard that has the "four floors of whores" but by Asian standards it's pretty low key and pricier. Cheaper than Europe. At about 3am there's street action (safe - just the girls leaving the building looking for a final "date"). That's a better budget option.

Hey there guys... The biggest obstacle in Jakarta is your own self-confidence.

Be bold. It pays off, and the risk is very low as long as you stay friendly and not pushy. Take your time to chat to a girl. Invite her for a drink or dinner. If she agrees, sex is pretty much implied.

Keep in mind that in Indo/Malay : if you lose your temper you lose the fight. IOW: whenever you chat to someone, be calm, smile, try to be accommodating.
