As to politics in USA....

There has been a major shift from Abraham Lincoln, Theadore Roosevelt and Dwight Eisenhower to name a few.

If you look at his presidency without taking into account the banging of the drums of the GOP and FOX News I think you have to admit he has carried out his mandate as promised.... maybe not always in a way that makes the republicans happy but he wasn't elected to do that.

He has dealt with very contentious issues as best he could, and he does that with the constant back stabbing from Congress and the Senate... trying to add sanctions against Iran onto a Veterans support bill is just plain sleazy so when the bill obviously failed they try to say he didn't support veterans even though he has been the one pushing for the VA reform and fixing it's problems by holding those in charge accountable.

Obama has a bad rep maybe, because he isn't apologetic about using his executive powers when congress is being a bunch of cry babies and refusing to work with him. can't blame him really for not bowing to their ridiculous blackmail.
