I received a call from [Name and Surname Removed by ESA admin] saying that on the 3rd November that I raped a service provider and that she used fake notes to pay for goods then she said that I gave her the notes.

I have never ever raped anyone, is this a scam as he said he is trying to help me out. The police radio was in the background and he said he was calling from the Morningside Pilice station

He called from a cell number and said that a warrant had been issued for my arrest.

Do I just ignore or do I go to a police station?

I blocked his number and just put the phone down

I'm done with punting if this is what is has come too.

The real cops in SA are busy eating kfc on a day like today .

Don't show any fear if they call back, that's what they want, tell them to come and fetch you, then you see how they change, will start talking about wanting to help you

I've never heard of a case (of an actual, real arrest), where the accused received a tip off from the warrant officer beforehand.

Granted, i dont know many convicted felons. But i would imagine that they dont call your cellphone before putting you in cuffs. Please do correct me if I'm wrong

Am I right in saying that I would have been arrested versus getting a phone call to say I'm going to be arrested

Hi guys.
Hope you are well! This does not only happen to the punters.
Two weeks into the new year, I received a call from a so called policeman from Pretoria side saying that there was a warrant for my arrest because some Punter's wife has laid charges against me saying I had been sending threats to her & her husband & that she knows he has seen me & I was to leave him & her alone.
Firstly, no such incident has ever happened with me.
Secondly, the last thing I would do is threaten a punter & their family.
So, the "policeman" said I must send as much money now as possible & they would talk to the prosecutor to sort it out otherwise they are going to have to arrest me.
The first "policeman" who phoned me was an African gentleman & the second "policeman" was a white Afrikaans guy.
So they said I should send them R5000 to HOPEFULLY be able to sort it out without arresting me & I must send the money to them now.
To cut a long story short, my fiance phoned the number they called me from & chatted to them & basically told them I will meet them at Edenvale police station (we know the colonel there) & ofcourse they never came there.
My fiance spoke to them early evening & finally got out of them that they were locked up & were just trying to make some money cos their families are poor & this idea of trying to blackmail punters or service providers worked for another guy they know!!
IT IS ALL A SCAM!!
