Had these discussion last night with my partner. He is really glad he was snipped as a baby, while I want to wait till my hypothetical son is of age to give informed consent (about 13).

What do you think? We are not Jewish so it's not about religion or tradition. Thoughts or experiences anyone would like to share?

I am not circumcised and am very glad that I have all my skin...

I cannot imagine being circumcised- it looks very uncomfortable to me, as I am sure being uncircumcised probably looks uncomfortable or whatever else for some that is circumcised.

I pay a lot of attention to making sure I am clean etc so never had any complaints from any partner in that regard.

I believe it should be something a person should do as an informed decision - the only reason not to is if there is some medical reason why they need to be circumcised as a baby or other point in their lives.

Sometimes it is required for medical/physiology reasons, eg, the foreskin does not stretch enough to be pulled back over the penis head, a very painful experience from a young age! This will best be advised by a Urologist.

I am not a parent, but I have been around all my friends' kids, most from birth. I think I am a bit neutral about it. Do it at birth. Most o the kids around me were circumcised at birth. One was done at about 2/3. It's wasn't a big deal but he is a very fussy child. He had some discomfort but not as bad as he made us believe. He is a very dramatic boy. The dressing had to come off in 24 hrs. Well that was a fight. Then he didn't want to bath cos he said it burnt. Then there was a fight about putting on the antibiotic ointment. He got a syrup to just make him more comfortable. Well I had to go there 3x everyday cos he would only drink the syrup if I gave it to him
His parents have agreed they should have done it at birth.
It's no big deal. You cut your kids hair, take him for vaccinations, put him in a crche, raise him in a certain faith / belief system, feed him all kinds of hormone/chemically treated food, ALL WITHOUT HIS PERMISSION.
I think you're overthinking this. For kids who have been circumcised at birth, it's neither here nor there. Nothing traumatic or feeling like they've missed out on something.

Best thing I did in my late 30s adult circumcision - now loving my new porno toy :D :) having experienced both sides of the coin. I do prefer circumcised :D and will always recommend. But end of day each to their own. Happy punting.

Out of curiosity - what makes it better for you? If you don't mind sharing.

Yes was not easy. But didn't expect it to be easy. Was something I wanted to do. And I went for it.

In short. Being exposed to both sides of coin it just feels and looks great. :D I always wanted to have a porno toy. And ultimately the blow jobs are the best. It's just my 2cents

Ultimately it's a matter of choice. As long as you happy. Enjoy.

I agree with Stem. I don't have boys, but I think if it is not because of religious, traditional or medical reasons then the child must have a choice whether he wants to do it or not.

My son researched it and made the decision himself to have it done at 14yrs old. That motivated me to do it at 48. Best decision ever. Much more sensitive to pleasure. Was uncomfortable but not painful.

Rather let him decide if he wants to do it or not. I did mine when I was around 30.
Never disappointed that I did it. But yes it diffrent for each person.
