I'm sure this topic has been discussed before.
A question to the ladies, how many of you use Facebook for marketing your service? If so does it work? What name to you advertise under?

My honest opinion, just can not see how FB could be a good advertising media for a WG.

Why not, very broad audience, easily accessible, and won't be an embarrassing entry on your browser history LOL

"and won't be an embarrassing entry on your browser history LOL"

Until the algorithms start making friends suggestions to your wife, daughter, Mom, mother-in-law, and all their friends based upon people you have been "interested" in making friends with.

she will have to send "friend request" to almost every punter on ESA alone.ESA still the best advertising platform.

You can't mention a competitive advertising platform here.

I think it's a very bad idea... FB is for my very close friends (not in this industry) and family... It's my private life... for no one else to see...

The last thing I want is for punters to see what my real name and surname are... it got NOTHING to do with them... also who my friends and family are... None of their bussiness... One little thing can go wrong and he'll let my friends ans family know what I'm doing... visa versa...

You must NEVER mix your BUSSINESSES with your private life... Not in this industry anyway... your asking for shit...
But that's my opinion...

I had wg profile on fb a few years ago. As far as business goes there is very little you can put on fb. Although it is wide-reaching, it does not reach one's target market. I picked up fb friends very fast but not clients. It was also a lot of work. As I got fb friends on the work profile I had to block them on my personal profile and vice versa to try and prevent any overlap.
There are just so many restrictions on fb that I couldn't really post anything relevant to this business.
The audience on fb is too broad to benefit me as a wg on the East Rand Jhb South Africa. I got friend requests from guys who would never come anywhere near Africa.
