I've got a trip to Dubai coming up.

What's the punting scene like there, or being an Arab country is it a case of stay away from punting if you value your freedom and life?

@Nacho ,no you a lucky guy, although it is very discreet ,you are spoilt for choice from girls from europe ,asia and africa ,a lot of girls work from the hotel bars which are mostly downstairs and pvt .Their are a couple of nice clubs so just ask the concierge at your hotel or your taxi driver and they should point you in the right direction .

Awesome! I assume the hotels don't have an issue in taking a visitor back to your room then, so long as they don't stay the night?

There are hotels that are "girl friendly" and there are a lot of hotels where you will not be allowed to take a guest to your room. Best is to check the internet for a girl friendly hotel to make sure you don't get disappointed and turn the lady away at the entrance. There is website that will give you all the details on hotels and clubs to stay in and go to that could of help. Best is to check now before you do your booking.

Thanks yewrev. What's the web site? My company is booking the hotel, so don't have much input there.
I've been looking at some profiles on the web, but damn their rates aren't Rand friendly - problem of a kak exchange rate:-)

Usually the international hotel chains are friendly. Just be on the lookout for unaccompanied woman at the bar, they're more than likely of the working variety lol. Otherwise Moscow Hotel is the bomb! Cover charge before going into the club though.

Not sure what your budget is. It's much more expensive than in SA but overall quality is higher too. Some suggested spots:

Jules - Le Meridien Hotel near the airport in Garhoud (mostly a mix of PRC, Russians Viet - not the most expensive in Dubai but no cheap either)

Park Hyatt Corniche hotel in Deira (can't remember the name of the club but he cab guys will know it. Massive club filled with girls. Arabs, Russsians, Asians, Africans. Everything. Not the friendliest girls but if you click with on its a great experience. They genera,my only do all nighters)

Karama Hotel in Bur Dubai (generally Filipino girls who part time I.e. Have real jobs. Get there early as they tend to start leaving well before closing time)

Panorama Hotel ( nice mix of girls by nationality. I like the Vietnamese girls there. Good for budget punting by Dubai standards. Sit and watch for a bit as girls there come and go.)

Tips: as others posters have said, hotels are generally girl friendly but they are not always. If your hotel is in the Deira or Bur Dubai neighbourhood, then check the international sex guide website to see if it's on the girl friendly list. You can also go to the girls place. I generally stayed away from staying with girls who live in Deira.

I do know the Le Meridien hotel near the airport, use to be girl friendly, but best is to follow the advice of Ghostwrita as it keeps on changing. the website he mention will give you the latest hotels that is girl friendly, also refer to sometimes on sites as hotels that are green. Just be very careful when there, as public affection is not allowed.
