I've been punting for about 20 years now and have certainly observed a change in what I feel is a good session. As a younger guy, I was more focussed on how many times I could unload during the hour..obviously, being in better shape, the girls were obliging and appeared to enjoy things...maybe I just wanted to believe this or didn't really care.
