Interesting. How do you protect yourself from punters @Sabrina? I guess as a WG you are most at risk in this working industry.

Do WGs actively take PrEP? I know many people say strap up and hope for the best. But at the end of the day no one is willing to risk their health in such a way.

No matter what, you will always be putting yourself at risk when having sex. No matter with who. Obviously one would use a condom and hope nothing breaks/ leaks out the sides. I will not be pricking my finger 3-5 times a day because of paranoia. Maybe you shouldn't punt? That way you're safe as houses.

Yes abstinence is the only 100% way to not get any sti and HIV. Agree with that.

From what Ive seen is that the relative probability of HIV is significantly low depending on your viral load and whether your positive partner is taking antiviral medication.

From what Ive read the relative risk for a male to contract hiv from an unprotected sexual act is 0.01%. (This number changes if you contract std with it)

That means the risk of hiv for a man is 4 in every 10 000 exposures.

My question is why is HIV everyones biggest concern?

You will never know. She will always just tell you she is "clean". Apparently all of them just never have STIs or HIV. I find it hard to believe. Because statistically if you have multiple partners in a single day or even weeks it's highly likely that you would have something and not even be aware of it.

Remember even if the risk is 4 out of 10 000. It only takes ONE exposure for you to have contracted HIV for the rest of your life.

You could contract it at any point in time as long as you are sexually active with different partners.

Secondly, why do you assume that everyone is only concerned about hiv? Who is the 'everyone' that you are referring to?

Prep is no protection against any disease. I can't understand why people think this will protect them. Stay safe everyone
