I've been a single dad for some time and decided it's time to find a girlfriend. Since it's 2018, there was only one option - online dating!

WTF? Matches are all "broken wings", "tannies" and "brug trolle". After another disastrous date last night I have now canceled the online dating idea.

Has anyone had positive experiences?

Online dating is a very bad idea. Most of the ladies on dating sites are looking for a husband to take care of them and their 6 children. Id rather spoil the ladies on ESA. They play safe with no strings attached. They won't call you the next day and ask when they will see you again.

I'm not one for the online dating scene but I've got a friend that met a wonderful guy on one of the sites.... they clicked immediately and have so much in common so I guess she is one of the lucky few ;) they talk for hours on the phone and what ever time they can in their busy schedules together.... they really are happy.

Online dating has it's Pro's and Con's ztm.

Do not give up too quickly.

I know a few people that have met on a dating site and they happily married. Keep going. You will find that lady eventually.

I have to agree, a lady needs to kiss many frogs before she finds her prince, not sure what we as men have to kiss before we find our princess.

I now of 2 or 3 couples that have met that way, and are currently in very good relationships. Just keep on trying somewhere the right person is out there looking for you.

Try something like 'Imvu' first. It's chat-based and you can filter by country. If you're looking for new love, it may be better to first fall in love with the person inside before you actually meet.

Considering the alternatives to online dating it is pretty low risk. just always set up the first meeting as a coffee date during the middle of the day at a busy venue. That llows you to back out gracefully after 30 minutes if you are not happy. Dinner with a mismatch can be agony
