As the title says... There are a lot of service provider's and punter's that have been around for a long time?

I see a lot of changes, and would like to hear others thoughts on this?

How has the industry changed from the good old days till now for you?

Long ago it was safe to pick up streetwalkers. My first punt was with a streetwalker. And for quite a time after that.

Then escort agencies - 2 hour bookings to a hotel across the road, or to your own place.

Then private houses and private venues started to open up. (I had some very good punts at Massage City.) In those days you looked at the Classifieds in the newspapers. No internet and no cellphones in those days!

Then the internet and iPhones changed things quite a lot.

For me the whole thing has become more efficient. Gone is the hit and miss of having to trust physical descriptions in a newspaper add.

At the risk of seeming a bit patronizing I have found that the general level of intelligence and interests amongst ladies has increased through the years. I don't necessarily mean in terms of degrees and PhDs, more in the manner that ladies frequently seem to have a wider set of interests or topics that I find them able to discuss with a confidence that is very appealing.

I guess what I am saying is that I don't believe that the good ol' days were really that good.

Ohhhh the cost. A single punt today is the cost of several in years gone by. This isn't a criticism, prices never decrease be it punting or peanuts, but I do think that the general level of quality of service has increased through the years so that's a good thing.

Carrying on from the increase in quality of service is a personal gripe of mine. It is common to call this an industry. Personally, I believe it to be a profession and there are far more professional ladies out there. There is nothing more unpleasant than a lady that chooses to simply be a receptacle. Its been a long time since I encountered a lady like that. The care, consideration, and pride that ladies take in their profession has certainly increased.

I have to support you on this. Only been on Esa for about 3 odd years, but in this relative short time is is definetly visible.

This is a good topic Arizona.

These are the changes I have observed over the years:

1. Services - Things that used to be seen as too intimate, risky or "taboo" in this industry, has become the norm to such an extent that you have to make a point of explicitly stating upfront that it is not on offer (even if the client does not ask you if it is on offer) in order to make sure that the clients who do book you, do not try to force you to engage in such things and/or leave your place disappointed.

2. Haggling - This used to be a rare thing which was almost exclusively done in the past by citizens of a certain race group, but over the past few years this has changed in that it is now done by all race groups.

3. Rougher Sex - Many nice gentle clients over time morphed into the caveman types who think that the harder and rougher you fuck a woman, the more she will enjoy it - one of the reasons I went the mg route.

4. Blackmail and Threats - With the advent of the internet and cellphones, the identity of both client and wg is in the public domain. Wg's are targeted by people who recognize her on an escort website and some men go to the extreme to search her out on social media and share her personal info with others and/or blackmail/threaten her. Additionally, since you now have this forum and other forums as well as review systems, wg's are often blackmailed into doing what the client wants under threat of having her business destroyed by a bad forum post or bad review.

5. Less clients Per Day - No longer do wg's see 5 - 10 clients per day, due to increase numbers of advertisers and also due to clients having less disposable income.

6. Entitlement and Respect - Client entitlement has grown and at the same time respect for the wg has declined.

Conclusion: The advent of the internet, whilst beneficial to the ladies in terms of exposure, brought with it a whole set of additional problems, which we did not have to deal with in the past. I have to admit that I miss the good old days of newspapers and its anonymity.

A few things that stayed the same:

1. Bitchiness and conniving among the women and venues in this industry.
2. Most Girls still working for venues.
3. Once an escort always an escort and once a client, always a client.
4. Fuck arounds and no-shows.

Remember the first time I started to "enquire" about all of this was when cellphones could basically just make calls (no other fancy shit). Used to search the ads in the Beeld newspaper. No pictures....just the ad and a phone number.

Awesome times!

The Good:

The Internet.
In the old days you called a number in the newspaper and you didn't know what you would get. Or you had to park at a venue and only inside would you know what your choices are. Also, the tannies from the kerk would drive past the venues to see who's cars where there or drive past the places where the streetwalkers are and see who also drove past. A prominent business man in my area created quite a scandal when he got caught.

Today we can look at pictures and chat on forums and by the time you arrive at the woman's venue you have a pretty good idea what to expect.

The Bad:

The Internet.
I got caught up un a Blackmailing scam about a year ago. It was horrible and I don't want to hash out details. I still think twice before making a booking these days.
I also suppose that in the past the 'hunt' was part of the thrill for some punters. Now it is point and click and Bob's your uncle.
Also, all the decent WG's flock to the big cities and we punters don't need to be in the big hubs anymore to run a successful business. I moved away from the city for the peace and quiet and all my clients are in the big cities, but I dont have to be there to get the job done.

Oh yeah, I forgot this one. People mention that punters have less diaposable income. True, but we also have less disposable time these days. They say technology is supposed to make life easier, but most people I know, myself included, work longer and longer hours these days.
