A gentleman called yesterday inquiring about my rates.
It sounded like he wanted FH and that massage is somehow a compromise and worth less than a fuck... Be it as it may, I replied with my hourly rate (R900) and he wondered out loud what makes me so special that I expect that much for a massage but the Chinese place he visits charges between R300 and R600.

I know that he is not the only one pondering this.

I feel it only fair to respond on a public platform as well. Debate can be hugely constructive.

Q:What makes me so special?
A:Nothing

Motivations or economical justification for my current rate as follows:

7 Clean towels washed after every client.
(that is one load for both the washing machine and tumble dryer in winter)

Heated massage bed and room.

Warm water for the shower

Cleaning products and disinfectants for my hands, massage bed, shower, toilet, basin and my toys

Batteries, condoms, gloves, wetwipes, lubricants, toilet paper and other essentials.

Wear and tear on my tools of the trade.

Advertising and marketing cost

Unrushed service

No double bookings

Beverages

Low prices is only sustainable through exploitation or cutting corners.
Remember every time you save a few rand someone else is paying for that.
An example mass is production of broiler chicken versus free range.
The cheaper meat comes at a huge price paid by the exploited birds and underpaid factory workers.

Those Chinese massage parlours will take their profit from someone and if it's not you ask yourself who is paying the full price.

Next time you find yourself being hosted in a run down venue or being rushed through your booking or find a dirty towel please remember the R200 you have just saved.

Well said!! I despise it when people try negotiate prices in my industry (financial services), I charge for my knowledge and experience.

Each lady is the same in your industry, you charge for the knowledge and experience you have. There shouldn't be a negotiation... that is an affront to you as a professional.

Great post but I don't think you need to justify your rate. The quality of service is usually directly linked to rates. Good for you though ;)

Yeah, you don't need to justify anything to anyone. All that matters is that there are people who pay that amount to see, and enough of them see you to make it sustainable.

You can't please everybody, and you only punish yourself when you take other people's opinions personally. As the saying goes, the more we care about thing we have no control over, the less control we have.

In this industry, there is no a direct link between QOS and price. If that was the case most of these ladies would have been un_affordable to most of us.

They should start 15 min FH with a good price. WG will make more money as 70% off punters don't last longer if the chick is hot and sexy!. I don't!!. I Always feel kak if that happens to me.And the thing is,You will go and punt because you can afford it if the price is right.

@Ziske, you would be surprised at how many wg's prefer otherwise. One of the reasons i have a regular. Both of us know what we enjoy.
