I know this is not a medical forum. And it's notpunti related but maybe my helper might possibly be on this site.

If there are doctors or specialists on the forum please advice.

I have this problem " I'm usually woken up by this pounding headache that's always on the left side of the head. It feels like my left ear is tearing open and the eyeball is about to explode. Usually my left eye has tears flowing like the river nile. I usually take 2 to 3 suchets of grandpa for which I feel like it's just a psych thing as I feel like it doesn't work, I usually end up passing out. My blood pressure is ok. BMI is about 28. Just like most people I hate my job but I'm not depressed/stressed. I don't abuse any substance.

I have seen quite a number of GP's, one even did bloods but nothing ever came out of it. I was even made to check my diet that something might be a trigger and it hasn't helped. Even when I'm drunk, these headaches get me to a sober state in seconds. They come and go, it's approx 6 yrs or more that I'm leaving with these headaches.

If anyone can possibly help please pm a brother. I can do with the help.

I'm no doctor but I would insist on a head MRI scan.

I have a similar condition except the running eyes. Severe headaches on one left side only. Started about 10 years ago, ive done medical tests and scans but nothing is ever detected. Im not a doctor but after some thought and piecing things together, I think mine is related to a tooth filling I had those years back, on the left side molars. However, doctors and dentists dont agree, they say the nerves are properly covered as from x rays checks.

So im also keen on any advise from the forum.

From the time I typed the first message, I only passed out around 03H40 or so. That's how bad it is. Unlike ESA addict, I don't have any teeth work done on me. But I have seen a Dentist for the headache hoping for a different opinion but still didn't get anything helpful.

No matter how bad you think your advice will sound, it can't beat the sh*tty nights that I'm having. Please do share.

This would be my advice also. Might cost a lot if money, but rather be sure there is no tumor causing the problem. Also have your eyes checked, could be an eye related problem, spending lots of time in front of computer screen can cause headaches. So cut down on wathing porn.

I had and still have a similar problem and mine was diagnosed to three conditions
1. Severe sinus
2. Allergy to certain items (I was tested for 52 different items and was allergic to 34 of them)
3. Sleeping position. I do not think this will be applicable to you ( as I broke my neck many years ago) but check it out as well e.g. position of head in relation to body and pillow quality.

Go for an MRI immediately if not sooner

It's called a Cluster headache and you should see a neurologist.

Agreed, especially if the pain is most pronounced when laying down or when you wake up in the morning. The pain described sounds like pressure in the brain, which could be caused due to lesions on the brain, a tumor or even a leaking blood vessel causing intermittent bleeding on the brain. If bleeding on the brain, some alcoholic drinks can make it worse as it can thin the blood.

I also suggest that you see an ophthalmologist, to check your affected eye for cupping and off course to measure eye pressure as well - often an ophthalmologist is able to diagnose when eye issues is caused by issues in the brain and he will then refer you to a neurologist.
