So I did an online booking and payment. Went to Home Affairs for an hour on a Friday afternoon just before closing time and got am SMS on Monday to come collect my passport. Just an FYI.
Note, ignore the idiots trying to get you to pay to skip the queue or fast track the process. An hour wait isn't worth their R1,500 con for a R400 legal payment. Would have actually taken 10 minutes if they didn't try to make you wait and haggle for free money.
