Does anyone else find this industry lonely or is it just me.

I am not a social being keep to myself. Would never do a relationship while in this industry.

Your honest opinion would be appreciated.

Sundays seem to be the worst.

I'm not even in the industry and Sundays are the worst. I have social anxiety and anxiety in general, which is why I started punting, just to have some form of human connection from time to time.

Loneliness is a drink best shared.

We as humans are social beings and actually need human contact.

Even introverts (which is the category I fall into).

As an introvert the trick is to find people who you can talk deeply with and make an actual plan to do it. It normally feels like more effort than its worth but isn't.

As of last year I try and meetup with someone who's company I enjoy at least once a week for coffee.

It actually helps and the lonely days are less lonely as the social need is being met.

Sorry guys this is not alcohol because if anyone of you know me I don't drink or do drugs. Normally hide my emotions well. Just today has been hard

At the very same time am scared of committment ie relationship eish life is so unpredictable hey.....

I felt like this a lot of times... I also shared my lonelyness on the forum 3 weeks ago... it's not easy and I can't see myself in a relationship ever again... the best is to make peace with it and with our situation... only we understand what were going through... be strong... your not alone

Why don't we start a "Lonely Hearts Sunday Club" ?

We select a different venue each Sunday and whoever is feeling lonely can join in. No pressure, just like minded people spending a day with like minded people.

These venues should not be a restaurant, because that is a time sensitive place. Rather an open air market, for instance the Fourways Farmers Market opposite Monte Casino. Good food, good music, good company, fresh air.

Voila, problem solved.

Because the ONLY cure for loneliness is good company. No need to delve into the other dark options.

Just a random thought.
