Joburg is a BIIIIIIIG city, Metropolis is actually a better word.
Too big to be cozy or familiar so the people tend to be impersonal, for you a dozen others.
Pretoria is loads smaller, speaks only one language and treats people village-style, downright lekker.
Centurion is too spread out to be either, therefore lacks a distinct character - and in my opinion is the worst.
Mind GF, don't judge all for one (or a few) experience, there's quite a few genuine girls in that ocean of fish, it just takes a more careful approach to fishing ;-)

I'm relatively new to this area, but I can say the people here are amazing, ladies and gents Alike. JHB has become very cold, shallow and over saturated.
