If there can exist BEE and affirmative action, black this and black that organisation, so can racial preferences for anything else. It is human nature. Get over it.

You can blame the "progressive" movement for that one, but it's silly to compare the two. Apples and oranges.

Perhaps if you expanded your thought processes as to why the black male is mostly excluded, even by other races including your own, you would see it's more to do with attitude and how you are seen to treat women, especially white ladies that lends a hand to the fear you continue to instill in them with your arrogance and reluctance to see things from their perspective and the insistence to continually debate and put them down because of the fears that you continually reinforce with that self entitled attitude.

I thank the Black guys I have seen for their amazing outlooks and for all they have taught me about tolerance, humanity and forgiveness. If it wasn't for them, I probably would not have bothered crossing the race lines either. They are a credit to their cultures.

Your last sentence caught my attention. Would you mind elaborating on why the black men you have been intimate with are a credit to their culture? Do you know which ethnic groups they are from?

To me, it comes across as if you were not attracted to black men to begin with, and after interacting with the ones you refer to, you took a liking to them. Gradual attraction, if I can call it that.

I find the cultural differences here fascinating, but I don't want to derail this thread by getting into dialects.

Pseudo, with all due respect, the silly thing here is someone questioning other people's tastes. Do you think our semantics, bickering and polemic, or this thread per se will change the minds of the stakeholders here? You can't force a VW agent to take your Jaguar for repairs if they don't want to.

@pseudonyms, my history with race, culture etc is not as clean cut as you are implying. My background might surprise you, but I refuse to go into the details of it as that is a big can of worms I will not open on a public forum. Perhaps my wording was wrong, but whatever you might think, you will no doubt try to find fault with whatever I say.

Ultimately, I'm saying that beating a dead horse will not make it move. This topic has been rehashed to no avail and I personally find it pointless!

@Veronica I actually agree with you. Your right the reason why many choose not to see african men is because of preconceived notions that they have. Whether it's from apartheid, what there parents told them or what they've seen on tv. There's is that connotation, whether real or imagined it is there.

Now whether or not you feel justified in having opinions on an ENTIRE race based on the actions of some or based on connotations or even what others have told you is really up to you. I'm not saying that it is factually wrong. You have to decide for yourself. What I am saying though is that it is racial discrimination... it meets the dictionary definition, that is a FACT you can't deny. I'm not arguing whether it's wrong or right, I'm arguing that it is.

Now because of how I was raised and because of my experiences, I BELIEVE racial discrimination is always wrong. That is my OPINION. I can just imagine if I believed all whites where a certain way because of the actions of Verwoed and those guys, I would miss out on so many adventures I've had through the years. But at the end of the day that is just my opinion, I believe racism is ALWAYS wrong and you can never justify it but obviously I am in the minority here, and that's fine.

The rest is between you and your conscious..

PS: What I will not do is pander to some white women and lower my voice and fail to articulate myself when I have an opinion because I want them to give me some sort of pity 'that's for being a good boy' shag. If that's what you want then you can miss me with that bulls**t.

i agree with Lanavol with this one. BEE by definition is racial discrimination. It meets the definition, there's nothing you can do about it, it is racist. But I'm of the opinion if I'm going to spend most of my life on the stick end of racism I'm going to enjoy the very few perks of it too.

I can just imagine what this country would look like if the people struggling against apartheid adopted that attitude. I'll leave you with this; "All that is needed for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing"

Fboy, very fair "feet on the ground" views.
And yes, Edmund Burke was very right 270 odd years ago.....
