I should point out that the opinions (my opinions) shared and my experiences as a transwoman are subjective and that I obviously cannot speak on behalf of all trans folk. I am also a very atypical transwoman - I am atypical when it comes to most things that I can/will be described as. Being free-spirited and not blindly subscribing to mainstream narratives (including "the trans formula") I am seen as a lot more "freakier" than most people (trans people included).

Most of my trans counterparts just want to transition, settle into "normalness" and live "The American Dream". THE AMERICAN DREAM - White picket fences, 2.4 kids, station wagon, cat, dog - you know. Each to their own.

It is almost inescapable that individual transgendered persons are seen as (and expected to be) representatives of their community. I am, at best, a reluctant representative. Hope that makes sense.

The one thing that all trans people seek to achieve is TRANSGENDER CONGRUENCE. This is something that TEAL SWAN (one of my favourite spiritual teachers) mentions in the video posted below. This is the higher perspective of the reason a soul chooses to be born (pre-birth choice) transgendered.

November is TRANSGENDER AWARENESS MONTH, and this week (13 - 19 November) is TRANSGENDER AWARENESS WEEK.

It is ironic that transwomen are highly, highly, highly sought after for sex, but when it comes to dating and DMRs (Deep Meaningful Relationships) a lot of us do struggle to find suitable partners, willing to commit to a long term relationship.

Now I know that finding a compatible partner may not be easy for a lot of cisgendered people as well, but the pool that transgendered people have to fish in, is an extremely shallow one. While ciswomen may have to kiss countless frogs before one of them turns into a prince - transwomen have to search high and low just to find a frog to kiss in the first place. It is what it is. Thank goodness things are changing, albeit slowly.
