I wish there had been a huge outcry and fight to vote as there was when the covid vaccination was dished out and the fear being the annihilation of mankind, instead of the apathy and laziness shown.

Was this not one for the history books to bring about a desperate needed change to save this country???

This beautiful country we all live in . The hope of a legacy for our children to say..
"Stand up for your rights BUT remember your responsibility as a citizen to country and flag."

They say 26million registered and only 16million voted.
Proudly i say I was one of them.

The simple need, taught to my children and they will teach theirs...

DO YOUR CIVIC DUTY. Even if it may feel or seem futile.

Of course what awaits us is a rockybroad and coalitions have not proven to be successful in the past but, the people have been heard and mistakes have been made and if anything I do believe there shall be better governance and hopefully hopefully a slow progression to realizing some of what the dire and poorest of this country need as does the rest of South Africa.

Steadfast to stand in belief and faith that no matter the rocky road that lays ahead of us...the people have spoken...and they have said...

WE WANT CHANGE!

Arriving to the finish line later than others may be an advantage of some sort.

SA politicians always believed the world revolved around them and walked around full of self importance.

Who knows. Maybe the world shall take example of another form of "democracy " if the GNU survives.

Can you believe how ill-informed and uneducated adults can be ?
People hear stories then they create their own versions of it which becomes facts in their heads

It seems the honeymoon is already over.

Not even 24hours after the inauguration the DA being accused of playing Big Brother and the PA wanting into the GNU even though their past coalition with other parties has always proven to be detrimental to any sustainable growth and putting party politics aside.

I wonder how the GNU was formed and if there was a standard agreed upon as to how and, on what basis other political parties can join.


Does the existing GNU collaborate together as to who shall and shall not be part and on what grounds would they be accepted or not....or is anc "god" in that instance?

Personally I believe the colour of ones skin still features too high in any possible success and will mar the right road to be chosen.

As to Tony Leon....my lecturer at Wits- comparative legal history was the subject ...[yep my past lecturers....the time when Raymond Suttner ( UDF) and many of our other lecturers were detained] ....good to see he played a role in the GNU formation.
