It certainly works for me, i have picked up
Some great last minute punts using it, I am just saying that you are using it wrong, "available now" means now, it's also why it only lasts for 30 minutes and then the SP has to login again and click the available now button again , because it means now, it does not mean available some time in the next 12 hours..

On our settings it only states availability.
Not available now.
Or set profile to available.

On the actual website it is "available now"

I do not mark myself "available" if I am not ready for a client. Sometimes I am busy with something and if I miss a call, I will give you a missed call as stated in my intro.

I make myself available when I am available.

If I have a client in 30 min I won't make myself available, for in case someone calls me like say 3 min before my booking

Secondly, I tend to forget however when I do remember, I remove my available now status when I have an appointment, save the hassle of not reaching me

If you do call after my availability is off then someone will answer for me and arrange an appointment

PS: what I have also noticed is, I have working hours on my profile and still get calls after my hours, I don't mind because my phone is on silent then. Just don't get mad if I don't answer

My pet hate is:

"Dislikes: Bad hygiene"

Who likes bad hygiene anyway?

It cuts both ways. I get calls asking if I am available right now (irrespective whether my status shows it or not) and when I answer yes, the caller either still has to travel at least 40 min or actually wants to know till what time that eve will I be available. The correct question should be, are you avail at such-and-such a time today.
Effective Communication should really be a compulsary school subject, as well as a compulsory, regular refresher course, in the workplace.

Regarding the 24/7 availability: Reasonability should be applied here. Every human needs breaks to feed themselves, relieve themselves and to sleep, no???
24/7 means, if the phone is on, it's your good luck. It also prompts a bit of forward planning, as many girls will accommodate somebody by prior arrangement. And all this, applies to girls with different stated working hours too. We would LOVE to see you, entertain you and please you. However, reasonability should also be applied by both parties. @Dinky Toy: every person that refuses to see that his/her hygiene is sub-standard, likes it. Otherwise, they would not live that way.
