To a person unaccustomed to a knife and fork, your ingenious disquisition on good table manners would appear to be ludicrous. To anyone who partakes of his potage with his fingers it would be so trifling a circumstance as to be hardly worth notice.
By the by, I must not omit to mention that though I partake of my dinner with my fingers, I can also ply a good knife and fork.
