“We all have our own shit to deal with” Ain’t that the truth. Happily most of us are equipped to deal with it, adapt to it or where possible forget it and get on with life.

I saw something somewhere, probably Facebook, that said “everyone you stranger you meat is fighting battles you know nothing about.” Yup that’s the truth as well.

@johnd and Longjon, The knee thing is a pain, literally and figuratively, however my sympathy is muted by the fact that she once kicked me so hard in my knee I needed surgery! That’s sounds a bit nasty of me but she has also seen the humorous side regarding the poetic justice of it all. We’ll get there if only by throwing obscene amounts of money at it. Getting battered with crutches is far worse and she’s steadily getting better and better at that! I agree with the point about getting money back. When an operation described as “simple and straight forward” results in three further corrective procedures it gets a tad frustrating.

@Nadia, wow. Not a nice situation.

Sam, take those pills boet. You can handle it now but diabetes has a way of getting worse slowly and then kicking you in the ass when you believe all is well. A colleague I know found great results in stopping the majority of big meals and instead eating a small amount very often through the day. Get yourself an SOS bracelet or pendant. That way when you are found sparked out at Dirty Gerty’s House of Ill Repute they will know it was the lack of a Bar One and not the result Klippielitus that caused your issues and so take appropriate action.

UPDATE: Nephew saw a young lady at a friend’s house, she made eyes, he blushed, she stroked his face, he’s lost it big time. Hair cut over the weekend, came around for fashion advice (from wifey) upcoming cinema date during the week. I’m sure I was never able to move on that quick.
