Agree with some sentiments above - Spain has some seriously worthwhile tapas ready to be tasted - no need to pack a boerie... Barcelona is a trip not be missed - absolutely fantastic destination, as is the rest of Spain.

Last time I was in Barcelona (2015), I had to fend off seriously acceptable, tempting offers, did not even have to hunt.

Just have your Euro's ready and enjoy the trip. Even with the high exchange rate, it will still be better to buy local when you are there, trust us. The merchandise quality is as unique as the works of Gaudi and something to write home about.

I would, however, recommend steering clear of strip clubs if your Spanish is not up to scratch. Those bull riders tend to get a bit jealous and defensive when they sense foreign hunters in their territory - pretty much the same as everywhere else on the globe I suppose.
