Se_kaas, just rub it in. I'm working my fucking arse off and what do I get to show for it? After expenses there's not even enough left to buy some coconut oil to have a proper wank.
I'm reduced to using soap, and boy, does that sting.

No man. Go and get yourself a lekker cheap moisturising lotion like Dawn refresh and skommel with that. It has menthol in so will give a tingling as well... And your tollie will smell lekker!

Sitting in bed at 1am and this thread is the best thing ever. I am not a fan of the corporate life but there's a culture that somewhat looks down on entrepreneurial pursuit in this country, until it works that is then you're a demigod.

I have to empathise with our employed brothers... and sisters out there. Corporates can be an ungrateful bunch, not all but a lot.

Although self-employed I have a colleague, also self-employed, that I have worked with every week for the last eleventy twelve years (its been a long time)

For our ten year anniversary we drew every penny of our business savings, took out a couple of credit cards, booked two weeks off and took ourselves and our wives off to five star it in Europe. Spent every penny we had and a lot we didn't have but I'm damned if we didn't deserve it.

Pap figured greatly in our diet once we returned, a bond payment was a little delayed and the Mrs Le Roux could buy new shoes for weeks! But screw it I've been working for me for years and I'm a bastard to work for! I owed it to myself. Following which I became a broke ass albeit happy punk for a good while.

Any ideas for the Fifteenth anniversary. The wives are being horribly sensible and tight-fisted in their ideas. Broke ass punkdom isn't the worst that can happen!

firstly from the PMs I got, let just clarify that when I said I'm in the networking space, it doesn't mean I talk to different people the whole day, lol. It's in the tech space, think IP/MPLS/VPNs lol.

@ramrom, a few weeks ago a recruiter for MTN called me with a position. Not interested. Probably more money, but I'd have a lot less spare time on my hands. Right now I'm fortunate to get an ok salary and working for a company that rewards handsomely with its bonus structure. I'm thinking along the consulting route. But now I'm just too much in a comfort zone.

But there are plenty guys with my level of experience and qualifications who earn 3 or 4 times my salary. But they have shits load more stress.
At least I get time to punt during the day. I just tell the big boss's PA in a concerned tone: "I've got to urgently go to Teraco. Seems we got a problem with the Accedian devices" and off I go for 3 to 4 hours, lol
